Project One, Inc. Summer Jobs Campaign Employment
Information
PARENT INFORMATION
Dear parent or guardian:
This is an application for possible
employment through the Project One Summer Jobs Campaign. The Campaign
is a community effort to assist interested youth in obtaining summer
job opportunities in the private sector and business communities. It is intended to be of some assistance
to young people regardless of family income. Some jobs, however,
are funded by the Federal Government and are available only for youths
from low income families.
You should not rely on the campaign
to find a summer job. If the campaign does find a possible job, your
son or daughter must convince the employer that they are the best
person for the position since more than one person is usually interviewed.
The kinds of jobs that your son or daughter
may do are determined by Federal and State law and by the requirements
of the employer. The application indicates the kinds of jobs that
we may receive. It is important that you make sure that any job your
son or daughter accepts is appropriate.
Don't forget: a social security card
will be required for your child to get a job. If one is needed, apply
now! Social security information may be obtained by calling 502-582-6690.
The application must be completed and
signed by you and your son or daughter. If the optional section is
completed, it must be notarized. Generally, referrals to jobs are
made on a first-come, first-served basis. So complete the application
and mail it back to us today!
